VOGSI Vapi Obstetric & Gynecological Society was established in 2005 by Dr. Purnima Nadkarni, who was the founder President.
In that time, Vapi was not known to other parts of India. Dr. Purnima took a lead and went to meet each doctor personally, who were practicing gynecology.
After the months of meeting and convincing doctors, finally in 2005 VOGS was formed with 26 members.
The society is known for its academic orient workshops and live surgeries.
President Dr. Purnima Nadkarni along with Seceratory Dr. Pranav Parekh together used to organized two workshops every month, thus high priority was given to academics.

The trend continued till 2020 and is one of the most active gynec societies of south Gujarat.
Apart from regularly conducting seminars and live workshop, society stepped one step ahead to serve the society by conducting health awareness camps and activities for women and children.
