On 6th September 2026, the Vapi Obstetric & Gynaecological Society (VOGS), in association with Anand Children Hospital, Surat, hosted "Perinatology CME 2026" at Fortune Park Galaxy, Vapi. Themed "Intact Survival — A journey from 'Womb' to the 'World' for a healthier tomorrow," the CME brought obstetricians and paediatricians together on one platform to improve outcomes for premature babies.

Moderated by Dr. Sachin Shah, the morning session (9:30 AM to 1:15 PM) featured a well-rounded academic agenda:

Dr. Dharmesh Parekh opened with a session on the obstetrician's role in the intact survival of preterm babies.
Dr. Hitanshu Bhatt, a fetal medicine expert, discussed guideline-based management of early-onset FGR (fetal growth restriction) in a talk titled "Managing the Early Birds."
Dr. Sachin Shah shared two decades of clinical experience in a session on challenging viability issues and the pursuit of intact survival.
Dr. Tushar Poshiya and Dr. Shivani Barad conducted a hands-on workstation covering delivery room practices, including "The Golden Minute" — the critical first sixty seconds of newborn resuscitation.
The CME closed with a lively panel discussion on real perinatology cases, drawing in experts from both specialties.
The event's expert panel included obstetricians Dr. Rekha Shrivastava, Dr. Sheela Mourya, Dr. Anupama Shrivastava, and Dr. Jayshree Kapadia, alongside pediatricians Dr. Priyank Patel, Dr. Prashant Patel, and Dr. Shaukat Panjvani.
