From the President's Desk

Dear Colleagues

Warm greetings to All.
VOGS began almost 16 years ago under the guidance of Dr. Purnima Nadkarni. We began as a small team and over the years have grown into this big beautiful family that we know today. Through the years, we have conducted a number of workshops, CMEs, seminars for our doctors and healthcare workers to facilitate knowledge sharing and open discussions on the most recent advances in Obstetrics Gynec practices.

We have also undertaken initiatives to contribute to the well-being of women in our region. For this, we joined hands with local NGOs to conduct mass education and spread awareness on women's health, Beti Bachao, personal hygiene, menstrual care, etc. We have taken special steps to impart this knowledge to the women working in industrial areas, those living in the underprivileged areas, and also our younger ones in schools.

Due to the pandemic, we were not able to hold the regular meet and greets and in-person informatics sessions for the masses but we were able to connect virtually to conduct our webinars. We hope to conduct more awareness drives in the months to come.

In the coming future, we would like to extend our mass education program to the peripheral towns and villages around Vapi and hope to ameliorate the health and living conditions of all women in our region.

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy

Dr. Sheela Maurya
